Hair Transplant

Hair Transplant is a minimally invasive procedure used to restore hair in areas affected by hair loss or thinning. During the procedure, healthy hair follicles are taken from a donor area, usually the back or sides of the scalp, and carefully transplanted into areas with reduced or absent hair growth. Common techniques include Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT). The goal is to create natural-looking hair growth while making effective use of the patient's existing donor hair.

Who Needs This Treatment?

Patients with Pattern Hair Loss

Men and women experiencing hereditary or pattern hair loss, particularly when thinning is concentrated around the hairline, crown, or other predictable areas.

Patients with Receding Hairlines

Individuals with a receding hairline or thinning frontal scalp who have sufficient healthy donor hair for transplantation.

Patients with Stable Hair Loss

People with relatively stable hair loss and adequate donor hair density who want to restore hair coverage and improve the appearance of thinning areas.

What To Expect

Your Treatment Journey

Before Procedure

  • Your specialist will assess your hair-loss pattern, scalp condition, donor area, and expected long-term results.
  • A personalized hairline and graft-placement plan will be developed based on your facial features and available donor hair.
  • You may be advised to avoid certain medications, smoking, or alcohol before the procedure as instructed by your doctor.

During Procedure

  • Hair transplantation is usually performed under local anesthesia, allowing you to remain awake and comfortable.
  • The procedure may take approximately 4–8 hours, depending on the number of grafts being transplanted.
  • Individual follicles or follicular units are carefully harvested and implanted into the thinning or bald areas according to the treatment plan.

After Procedure

  • Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or scabbing may occur around the treated areas during the initial recovery period.
  • Some transplanted hairs may temporarily shed during the first few weeks, followed by new hair growth over subsequent months.
  • Visible hair growth generally develops gradually, with final results often assessed around 9–12 months after the procedure.
